FEBRUARY MINUTES

 

The board of governors for the H Smith Richardson golf club met on 2/4/26
Joe Everard called the meeting to order at 7:04 pm. A quorum was established

 

OFFICERS PRESENT: Joe Everard President, Rich Battista Vice President,
Mike Windels Treasurer, Steve Taylor Secretary
Welcome to new member Jim Zemola.

 

BOARD OF GOVERNORS: John Brockett, Jeff O’Connell, Brian Everard, Dave
Henry, Don Dimartino, Jim Zemola

 

TRESAURARS REPORT: Mike Windels, see report, Dave Henry motion to
accept report, Don Dimartino second (passed)

 

BUDGET SUB COMMITTEE: Brian Daly,see report, there was a discussion
about a $100 gratuity to Boca staff which was debited from the Scholarship
fund, an amendment ( John Brockett) was made to deduct from the general
fund. The amendment was seconded by Jim Zemola (passed)

 

MEMBERSHIP AND HANDICAP: Brian Everard, Brian presented 9 new
potential members. All were approved, Motion, Brian Daly, Second John
Brockett (passed)

 

TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE: Brian Daly, Schedule was forwarded to the head
pro. The Parent Child tournament will take place on 6/28/2026

 

GOLF COMMISSION: Don Dimartino, Mike Harrington passed away. The
commission is putting together a plan for sand trap renovation.

 

JUNIOR GOLF: Dave Henry, Dave is excited to get going on new season

 

SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE: Mike Beccaria. No report

 

WEBSITE AND TECHNOLOGY: Jeff O’Connell. No report

 

CUPS AND PLAQUES: Jeff Maier. No report

 

NEW BUSINESS: Dave Henry made a motion to donate $200 to charity in
remembrance of Mike Harrington. Jeff O’Connell second (passed) . It was
decided to use the Town Calendar in the future for the tournament schedule.

 

There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 8:06 pm
