MAY MINUTES

 

The board of governors for the H Smith Richardson Golf Club met on 5/6/2026
Joe Everard called the meeting to order at 7:01 a quorum was established

 

OFFICERS PRESENT: Joe Everard President, Rich Battista Vice President,
Mike Windels Treasurar, Steve Taylor Secretary, Brian Past President.

 

BOARD OF GOVERNORS: Dave Henry, Brian Everard, Jeff O’Connell, Don
Dimartino, Jim Zemola

 

TREASURARS REPORT: Mike Windels, see report. Dave Henry made a motion
to accept the report. Brian Daly seconded the motion ( passed)

 

BUDGET SUB COMMITTEE: Brian Daly, see report

 

HANDICAP AND MEMBERSHIP: Brian Everard, 45 renewals, 18 new
members were presented. Rich Battista made a motion to accept the new
members, Brian Daly seconded (passed)

 

TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE: Brian Daly, The Powlishin tournament was very
successful. The proceeds will be sent to Dana Farber cancer institute. The
amount is $1000.00. Rich Battista made a motion to donate the monies, Don
Dimartino seconded the motion. ( passed). The Mastroni qualifier is full. There
was a discussion about a team tournament in the fall; Bob is ok with a late
September date.

 

GOLF COMMISSION: Don Dimartino, Sand traps are in the design phase.
There was also talk about the foot bridge on 13 tee. Open spots on the
commission were filled by Betsy Hume and Jeff Steele.
JUNIOR GOLF: Dave Henry, Range Day will be 6/6/26, there will be an email
with details.

 

SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE: Mike Beccaria, no report

 

CUPS AND PLAQUES: Jeff Maier (new committee head)

 

WEBSITE AND TECHNOLOGY: Jeff O’Connell no report

 

OLD BUSINESS: Some tee markers are leaning. Should board members be
compensated in the form of preferred sign up for major events.

There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 7:29 pm
