Welcome - Membership
Our club has over 400 members and offers golfers of all skill levels to enjoy the game in a friendly and relaxed environment, while encouraging competition throughout the golf season. Residency in the Town of Fairfield is not a requirement to join the H. Smith Richardson Men's Club, as many of our members live in surrounding communities.

Membership with the H. Smith Richardson Golf Club has many benefits, including:
- An official USGA handicap to post scores
- Participate in weekend and major events to earn pro shop credit

New Members:

- Please allow up to 30 days for your membership to become active. All new members must be approved at the monthly Men's club meetings which occur on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.
- Once approved, our Membership and Handicap Chairman will reach out with information regarding your GHIN information and how to get started posting scores.
- In addition, you can begin posting scores and participating in our weekly and major events! Please review our Tournaments - Getting started guide and Rules and Regulations before participating in events.
Prior Year Renewals:
- March 31 has passed, renewing Members must use the NEW member link above. If you are a returning member and your membership was “active” last season, click here to access the returning member portal: HSR Returning Member Portal
- All membership renewals must be submitted prior to March 31st. Any renewal applications submitted after March 31st deadline will be considered as new application for membership and follow the new member process for approval (see above). In addition, any renewals after the March 31st deadline will be subject to the same fees associated with new membership.
